Mosaic, like most companies, use emails to communicate a myriad of messages to their customer base. They use it to acquire new customers and bring awareness to special promotions, as well as for communicating order information. We have perfectly coordinated Mosaic’s photography with all of their brand colors and guidelines, equipping them with a database of various imagery that can work for anything - from their ordering receipts, to coupon offers and abandoned shopping cart reminders.

Having beautiful photographs can literally be the difference between being highlighted in the publication and being left out for another brand. Many media outlets require a photograph to go with their story, and need the brand to supply it. Mosaic now has a vast gallery to choose from that beautifully represents their brand and is perfect for any publication, ensuring they get the press coverage.

WEBSITE

Mosaic’s website is crucial to their brand. It is the literal marketplace for the consumer, creates brand expectations, and allows the brand to showcase the value it brings to the consumer. To do this, the graphic design needs to work cohesively with the photography and copy. Before a website photoshoot we create a dialogue between designer, coders, and writers to ensure the images are not only telling the story they want to sell but it also is logistically working with the interface.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The website is no longer the first place consumers see your product. Social media is a major driver of traffic and the photos also need to acknowledge that. This doesn’t mean every single post needs to be an image from a photoshoot! As you can see below, Mosaic’s user generated content works hand-in-hand with their stylized images, and both are augmented by purely graphic and text posts - these create a seamless experience for anyone looking through their feed. 

As a frozen meal delivery company, Mosaic needs to capture their product in beautifully stylized settings while balancing those assets with images that feel more real and in-home. Someone looking through their Instagram wants to know that these meals are made with care and use fresh, healthy ingredients. Through ingredient spotlight shots and process stop-motion GIFs, our photography highlights these core values. 

DESIGNED ASSETS

Mosaic continues to create new and innovative content from previous photoshoots by creating designed assets. Their designer takes our thoughtfully composed photography and adds another layer of branding to truly tell the story of Mosaic and its customer base. Final images are delivered with copy space in mind, and make it even easier for a designer to actualize their vision without compromising the composition of the photo.

Creative Direction

Mosaic has pushed our creativity in the best way possible and together we have elevated the brand through prop styling and surface creation. MAX+CO helped Mosaic to create a well established color palette that calls for specific linens, utensils, bowls -- every prop is chosen carefully and precisely. 

As is their namesake, Mosaic wanted to create tiles within that color palette to use for their website banner images. These tiles are graphic and exciting, while not drawing attention from the products. Tasked with creating these tiles from scratch, we excitedly took on an extensive creative project that spanned weeks in the making. 

Mosaic’s website is responsively designed to resize photos for whatever browser and size window - these crucial banner images needed to be able to do the same. Meaning we needed enough tiles to fill out a large image of 6+ bowls with space to spare; each color needed additional shades to create mesmerizing patterns; each color’s patterning was different and required precise amounts of every tile color and shade and pattern. All told, there were 400+ tiles hand painted and pieced together on set. As you can see, the photos showcase that it was all worth it.
